The main project was the significant rebuilding of the school as a result of the Educational Development Initiative in 2004. This involved among other projects, a new Technology suite, a new Music suite, 8 new classrooms, two new Science laboratories and a remodeled administrative area.

The Board of Trustees is able to endorse Atkin Construction. Staff were obliging and competent in carrying out contractual obligations and were prepared to assist with minor additional work as required.

"I approached Atkin Construction through Gary Pidd Architects to develop spare land at the back of an existing building in the light industrial area of Napier. My brief was to update the exisiting Facade of the 1970's building and then develop 500sq metres of vacant land at the rear of the building. The project required a qualified Commercial Building team that could handle the detailed specifications of the Architect and also the latest Building Specifications.

The finished product has been well received and has given the building a new life that will extend its life for many years to come.
